Owner Summit is a conference for other digital studio owners to listen to the speaker line up, attend breakout sessions and talk shop and learn from one another.  The Bureau of Digital Affairs, a collaboration with Greg Hoy and Carl Smith, say the mission of the summit "Is to Help Digital Studio Owners Realize That We're Actually All in It Together." 

  5. Why ‘Quick View’ Isn't the Best Solution for E-Commerce


    Many of us have encountered ‘Quick View’ functionality in our online shopping experiences. The ‘Quick View’ button allows us to see a bit more information about the product page without leaving our current path. This functionality has a been a common practice on e-commerce sites for quite a while. In fact, approximately half of the sites we’ve surveyed use a ‘Quick View’ function. In this article, we will talk about why 'Quick View' is so frequently implemented as well as some better approaches to solving the same customer needs.

    Steve Stegelin, Illustrator and Cartoonist for Charleston City Paper recently joined us for our December Meetup at eHouse Studio. Steve is a Blackbaud Technical Writer by day and Cartoonist by night. His masterful pen and ink technique paired with comic strip style and impeccable hand-lettering put him at the illustrative soul of the Charleston City Paper. Steve, most notably known for his weekly blotter illustrations depicting outrageous but true stories, like the one seen here.
